Civil Engineering Division

AEPAC has an in-house civil engineering department with key personnel civil engineers with over twenty years of experience working in Honolulu. By creating this New Division, it has expanded its capability in the professional field and is able to provide the highest level of service for your next project. Projects will be comprehensively developed with civil engineering as the base point for project planning.

Capabilities include: site and installation utility design including water distribution, storage and pumping, wastewater collection system design for tropical corrosive environments; hydraulic analysis, storm water collection system design; site development, earthwork, grading and drainage; roadway (geometric) design and traffic engineering (street lighting and traffic signals) and anti-terrorism/force protection.

Cyber Security Design for Buildings

Building design is a crucial component to creating a safe and secure server room and other work environments where computer use is high. AEPAC has IT systems management in building design to integrate these systems into your new design:

  • Cooling system: properly designing for sufficient cooling

  • Power consumption and communication channels: calculate the redundancy level

  • Waterproofing: providing a drainage system and isolating the room from water.

  • Physical security: an important detail that is often forgotten.

  • Firefighting: designing fire extinguishing systems suitable for server rooms

  • Ventilation and climate in the server room: creating filtration systems to prevent harmful dusty air

  • Dispatching: building design that alerts computer IT personnel of fire and other attacks

Onsite and offsite backups, resilience and redundancy infrastructure, availability of secondary data centers, and the use of geographically distributed infrastructure and support staff enable disaster recovery plans to be executed quickly  and efficiently in the event of a major disaster.

Computer Aided Design

AEPAC has a team of CAD and BIM operators who prepare A/E/C CAD Standard compliant design drawings in 2D and 3D Civil Information Modeling (CIM) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) with the latest versions of software purchased from Autodesk. AEPAC’s CAD Manager in charge of all projects and coordination between architects and engineers. The versions of CAD and REVIT are continuously updated.

Project Management and Construction Administration

AEPAC has demonstrated project management expertise and contract administration experience with integrated design with an emphasis in coordinating a multidisciplinary team of internal and external resources. AEPAC engineers and architects have managed projects with adaptability and flexibility dependent on project needs, timelines, and complexity. Project delivery on even the most complex projects are achievable because of the depth of experience of the engineers and architects who have worked on international stadium design, airport design and amusement park design, some of the most complex project types. AEPAC is also able to perform as an independent third party Special Inspector and can perform Special inspections in accordance with Chapter 17 of ICC IBC. AEPAC holds Special Inspector qualifications including ICC Certificates pertaining to steel and concrete.
