Minatoishi Architects, Inc. prepared a Cultural Resources Management Plan for the University of Hawaii at Manoa Campus. Of the 250 buildings on the University’s 300-acre campus, seventy of its buildings and ten historic landscape sites were built before 1967, equating to 28% of the structures on campus being over 50 years old.

We identified buildings eligible for the Register and the ten important “neighborhoods” on campus. In addition, a maintenance manual was prepared for the individual eligible historic buildings.

We also listed five of their historic structures on the State Register of Historic Places: Kennedy Theater, Music Complex Building, Hemenway Hall, Sinclair Library, and Bachman Hall.
